The best rally drivers of AFRICA – ASIA – EUROPE - OCEANIA - MIDDLE EAST - NORTH AMER
Every continent and every nation in motorsport and rallying in particular has its champions and very often there are many, but it has always been hard to determine who is the NUMBER 1, because the rally drivers of a nation or a continent do not always compete in the same national or continental championships. It becomes impossible to establish who is the first, because the leagues are different, the standings are multiple and drawn with scores and criteria which are different and not homogeneous. From January 1st, 2010, the World Rally Ranking establishes with transparent and objective criteria the world ranking of rally drivers and codrivers. This is the ranking, obtained based on the results obtained by each individual rally driver in the international events entered in the FIA calendar. The ranking is updated at today, Wednesday September 7th 2011. The drivers who have obtained the right to enter the World Rally Ranking are currently 1,592.

Come on, the whole thing is bogus. It is based on FIA events, not driving skill.

No offence to some drivers, but Fan Fan, Udhaya and Brian Green are certainly not at the same speed as other drivers in their region. It's just the fact that they do most of the APRC rallies. In Asia, there is Katsu Taguchi, Toshi Arai, Rifat Sungkar, Subhan Aksa, Karamjit Singh, and the current Malaysian champion (name escapes me...). Fan Fan and Udhaya are certainly not bad by any means, yet aren't in the same bracket. In the Pacific, Brian Green is 60 to 70 years old! Yet there is no room for Cody Crocker, Simon Evans, Brendan Reeves, Nathan Quinn, Mark Tapper, Chris West, Richard Mason, Emma Gilmour, Jean Louis Leyraud... even if it is going off FIA events, Reeves, Quinn and Mason should be higher.

Has anyone gone to that site? Apparently the top rallying country is..... wait for it.... Italy!!!!! Followed by the Czech Republic and followed by Finland and then France.
I wonder if the ratings system is flawed?Rule 1 of the forum, always accuse anyone who disagrees with you of bias.I would say that though.
I think we saw this one coming, didn't we?
